Halloween | Tag Questions

Hi Lovelies!
I honestly can't believe how fast this year has gone, it's Halloween already?
So as it's Halloween, I thought I would do a little Halloween tag for you.

Do you still trick or treat?
Unfortunately, no not for my own personal enjoyment. But I do enjoy watching children come to the door all dressed up and also I like going with my friends siblings and my young family members.

Do you like going to haunted attractions?
I've been to haunted jails and other similar buildings, however it wasn't near Halloween but I did enjoy visiting and learning about the places. Maybe I will in a few Halloween's to come.

Favorite Halloween movie?
I can't say I have one really. I do enjoy watching Halloween specials like 'Shrek Halloween Special' and 'The Monster House' with relatives. If i'm with friends and in the Halloween spirit I'll probably watch some scary ones.

Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a child?
When I was really young I used to wear this all in one cat suit, it had glittery ears and tails with padded paws and everything. So cute!

A costume you would like to dress up as if you could go back to your childhood?
My friend used to have this pumpkin suit, it looked really cool. I'd probably be a pumpkin.

Do you decorate your house for Halloween?
Yes, I love decorating, and making them by hand too. I mostly decorate the outside for the trick or treaters, but you have to have a few inside, don't you?

What are your plans for this years Halloween?
I'm having a few friends over and we're doing a sort of Halloween party. Watching scary films and greeting trick or treaters.

Do you ever dress up your pet?
I don't agree on dressing your dogs up in bling, however for events I think it's a fun touch.
I have 2 dachshunds (sausage dogs), and I am very tempted to dress them up as hot dogs. Would be adorable!

What was the worst thing you were given when trick or treating?
I've been given fruit before, as much as I like fruit Halloween is for chocolate, and only chocolate.

Favorite thing about Halloween?
I love seeing the kiddies all excited and dressed up, reminds me of myself at the age.

I don't know about you, but I'm really excited for Halloween this year. Making the decorations, seeing the kiddies at your door and just being in the Halloween mood.
If your out trick or treating or looking after ones that are, remember to keep safe and only go to people's houses you know. Also look out for those posters, not everyone enjoys trick or treaters. I tag anyone that wants to do it, if you do leave the link in a comment, I'd love to read them.

What's your favorite thing about Halloween?

Dream Matte Mousee Foundation | Maybelline

Hi Lovelies!
I'm just going to go straight to the point that Maybelline Dream Matte Mousee is my favorite foundation, ever! I've been using this foundation for quite a few years now, and I must say, so far nothing has won me over like this has. When I bought it I was abit dubious to try it as I've always stuck to liquid foundations, but now I much proffer the mousee foundations by far. I have really pale skin and I tend to find it difficult to find a foundation that matches my skin colour for a natural look, so I thought I'd try it in the lightest shade '010 Ivory', which is brilliant because it matches my skin really well.

When I first applied it, it felt so smooth and soft on my skin and was surprisingly light weight. When I heard about this product I was abit worried that it would be quite heavy and thick as it's a mousee foundation but when your wearing it, it almost feels like your wearing nothing at all. Not only does it feel great, but it also looks it too, giving you a really nice natural look. I'm quite paranoid about showing any blemishes etc, so when I have a foundation it needs to have great coverage which the matte mousee does really well!

I think the only down fall is that it doesn't last for as long as I want it to. It tends to fade within a few hours so I have to keep re applying. However, what I tend to do is apply a thin layer of liquid foundation and apply another tin layer of matte mousee over the top so you have a back up when the mousee starts to fade, although re applying the mousee isn't a big deal for me unless I'm out somewhere for a long time, so on a regular basis it's normally okay for me.

I bought this for £7.69, which is a brilliant price for a high end product. They're available in most drug stores like Boots, Superdrug etc. I sometimes find with foundations that they can dry your skin out alot, more of cheap foundations, but they tend to leave it dry and flaky, what I like about this one is it's easy applied and easily taken off without drying out your skin. What I also really like about this that although the pot seems small, the foundation lasts a long time. Normally for me, it tends to last for around 2 months, maybe more if I apply the liquid foundation underneath. I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone looking for a decent one, I've been using this for several years so there aren't any long term problems and just over all brilliant. I'd definitely look into getting some, if you haven't done so already because they are totally worth the price.

Fragrance Sticks | Claire's Cosmetics

Hi Lovelies!
So I picked these up quite awhile ago, I don't tend to use them that often but I thought it was still worth telling you about them. I picked up 3 different senses, 'Strawberry' & 'Orange' & 'Coconut', which all smell amazing! I got them from Claire's for roughly £3.00 per stick I believe. These sticks are quite similar to perfume as you most commonly apply them on your neck and/or wrists.

Once applied the smell is strong but it doesn't tend to stay for very long, which is a massive flaw. Although the sticks are colored, once applied to the skin it doesn't show any colour, which is good. I think their a brilliant product, their small to carry around in your bag with you however having to re apply it every hour or so is a big pain.

As well as it smelling amazing, it does good to your skin. For me, it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I also really like the cute packaging & the variety in different and unusual sweet smells. However, I would say it isn't worth the price it's at or worth much of the hype in the sense that the smell doesn't last for very long.
Over all, I think they all smell lush!
Have you already tried them? Are they worth the hype for you?

Natural Collection Lipstick | Rasberry

Hi Lovelies!
After never having used a Natural Collection product, I was recommended to try their lipsticks and I thought I'd give it a try. So I bought one in Raspberry, I believe I got this from Boots at around £1.99. I'm not really a big lipstick wearer, however if I do wear some it would most likely be a subtle pink/red colour. So I've sort of gone outside my comfort box to wear this. I was quite surprised when I applied this, that actually the colour was very subtle and actually it moisturizes your lips alot more than I thought it would.

I have fairly pale skin and as the lipstick colour is fairly subtle, it matches my skin tone really well and isn't a overly bold colour making my skin look almost ghost like. I sometimes find that having a matte finish on a lipstick can really highlight the cracks in your lips and make them look really dry and flaky, and what I love about this lipstick is that it doesn't do that. I feel it's really pleasant to wear as it feels moisturizing and creamy and also light in weight. I find with some lipsticks the colour tends to go within a few hours of applying, however with this lipstick I find it lasts alot longer.

The packaging is very simple, which can look to people as a cheap product and personally without the recommendation I don't think I'd of purchased it. However, after trying it out I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly cheap good working lippy.
I've heard some good reviews about Natural Collection's products, what I really like about them is that they use natural resources to make their products and also they are against animal testing, which is really important to me and what purchases I make.
Overall I really like this lipstick, I'll probably even end up buying more in different shades.
If your looking for a good lipstick for a good bargain, I'd suggest going down to Boots and getting one yourself if you haven't already done so.

Week In Photos #1

Poorly Dog / Fancy Donuts / Peaceful Scenery / OOTD / Swimming Lessons / Sunset Photography / Dog Walk / Beach & Sunset / Strawberries & Bananas Innocent Smoothie

Hi Lovelies! This week has been quite stressful specially with my exams coming up soon, so I've taken a few days/evenings off from revision to relax & have a rest. I've also recently fallen ill with the horrible cold, it has sort of worked out well to be of school, as I can revise easier and even better, I can relax.

Monday evening I went with my two dogs to Portreath beach, the sunset was absolutely beautiful. I took a few snaps of which I also used in my up coming photo shoot for my photography course. I have also, this week, come across this new lush smoothie. I thought I'd include it as I love fruit smoothies and really, it's been my main drink of this week. Wednesday my dog Penny, a Dachshund, had a operation to remove a few nasty teeth that she was born with which had never gotten better, in the end she had 16 teeth removed. When I picked her up from the vets, she was still drugged up with her anesthetic, so she was wobbling all over the place, bless her.

Thursday, tragically, I attended a funeral for a loved one. I thought I would do a OOTD as I really like what I wore, however for everyday wear I'd colour it up. I wore a bow patterned skirt from Primark, I wore a normal sleeveless shirt from New Look which had a peter pan collar, I then wore over the top a plain long sleeved black top from TU Clothing, revealing the peter pan collar.

Over all, this week has been good & peaceful. I've also been working at my dog kennels this morning, so will be sleeping well tonight.

I really enjoyed doing this post, so let me know if you want more of this or anything similar.

New Buys | October

  Hi Lovelies!
Sorry that my posts aren't as frequent anymore I will do my best to do as many weekly as I can. However I have got some good & exciting posts coming up soon so make sure you stay tuned! So, lately I've been out & about shopping in various places and I thought I'd share with you the products that I really like, so far, that I've recently picked up.

In the winter moisturizers are really important, specially to me. It helps keeps your skin healthy and moisturized, so you can never have too much of it.
I really liked the packaging of this as well, of course that's not the only reason why I bought it, he smell is beautiful. It's a really nice fresh vanilla smell which once applied lasts for surprisingly a long time. However, it isn't the bestest moisturizer I've ever tried, but if you've got a low budget and your looking for some moisturizers then I'd definitely try this one out, extremely low priced moisturizer.

So this is one of my many usual foundations I wear, however I thought I'd still show you this because I think this is a fantastic foundation and anyone on the hunt for a new one, no need to look no further. I think the main prices are around £7 to £8 each.
The tub is fairly small, but a little bit goes a long long way, they usually last two months or longer. I have this in shade '010 Ivory' which is the palest shade there is in this collection but does well with a paler concealer over it. I previously only wore liquid foundations but when I found Dream Matt Mousee I rarely used them, as I much proffered the matt mousee. Definitely look into if you want a decent foundation!

Although Autumn & Winter are approaching, I recently bought these two very Summery nail polishes. I really really liked these colors and I think they still look great in Autumn so I thought I'll break the rules and get them. On the left I got 'Shade 14' which is a really nice peachy purple shade, and on the right I got 'Shade 15' which is a really nice baby blue shade. These are on the cheap end of the scale and so the polish isn't the best, but a few coats do the trick nicely.

I don't normally wear lipstick, if I do it's a very subtle pink shade. However, I've dived into the deep end and bought a deep red shade lipstick. On a curved shaped face, bright lipsticks tend to look odd, so I went for a much darker shaded lipstick and applying very little and the colors come out lovely.

I'm sure we've all suffered at one point from some sort of acne problems, so I like to keep acne on the down low. So I've recently been trying out different spot creams to see which are better. I recently came across these and so far they work brilliantly, I tend to use the pads to remove any excess dirt then apply the anti bacterial cream before bed.

If you know me, you'd know how much of a obsession I have with candles and collecting them. But unfortunately, the packaging got ruined for this one, I bought 'Skittles Orange Scented Candle' which smells amazing! In my opinion I don't think it really smells like the skittles but it smells lush anyway!
Again, I'm sorry for not being able to post that frequently but I will do my best to do as much as I can. I got some exciting posts coming up soon so stay tuned to read them.

What have you recently bought?
Lots of Love,

Hair Care | Products

Hi Lovelies!
Sorry for being away for blogging for so long, have been quiet busy! However, I'm back now and got lots to share with you all. Hopefully I'll manage my time much better and I'll have much longer blogging time, got lots of exciting things to come yet so keep looking back! I've recently gone on a big shopping trip and again at the end of the month, so got lots of things to share & show with you all. Anyhow, I've been getting a fair amount of questions about how and what I treat my hair with so I thought I'd dedicate my post today to that!

TRESemme Colour Fade Protection Shampoo & Conditioner
These are my main shampoos, they can be a little pricey but are definitely worth it! I have used the normal TRESemme shampoos & conditioners and they're just as good, but as I've colored my hair a few times using Colour Fade Protection shampoos & conditioners are brilliant as they lock in the colours and I've found that your hair colouring actually show better after washes.
Girlz Only Dry Shampoo
I don't use alot of dry shampoo as if my hair is in need of washing, I'll normally just wash it. However, its brilliant for refreshing your hair in between washes and giving your hair that healthy shine to it.
The only bad thing about dry shampoos is the grey tint it leaves, even though it leaves this it is a good cheap one to use. However, I've got a new dry shampoo on my shopping list!
OZ Botanics Deep Conditioner
I've only recently come across this so I cant say the long term use of this but I normally wash my hair with this conditioner every other time I wash my hair, in the mean time I use my normal conditioner.
I can't say it makes much of a difference, but it definitely gives my hair a really nice glow & leaving it feeling super soft!
Wilko Skin, Hair & Nail Pills
Now if your like me, wanting long healthy hair, you'd do anything for it to grow! Each box contains 30 pills and I've just recently finished the first pot so stay tuned and I'll do a post about it & the results! It's not designed to make your hair grow, but it strengthens it and it helps to keep it healthy. Healthier hair grows much quicker! I've also noticed that my skin is alot softer as-well so I'd definitely invest in these or similar because they really do work.
L'oreal Paris Studio Matt & Messy Salt Spray
I think this is the most fantastic thing ever! It gives your hair lush volume and texture & it also gives my hair a beachy wave look. I normally use this after showering when hair is damp, spray & place hair in a bun and keep it on over night and in the morning it's got a lovely beachy waves look to it with lots of volume in the roots.

I know I haven't been posting a lot recently, so I do apologize for that but hopefully will be making use of my time effectively that I'll have more time for blogging!
I hope you've enjoyed reading & see you all soon!
