Guest Post | Fall Boots: The Four Essentials

Hello Lovelies! So today I've got something really special for you, as Autumn is now here what better time to present this guest post by the lovely Clarissa Brooks.

If you had all the cash in the world to spend, you'd probably have an entire room dedicated to your shoe collection. Unfortunately, most of us are on college student or young adult budgets, meaning we've got to shop smart. Creating a cohesive wardrobe means buying staples that can be worn many different ways, and every fashionista knows that boots are THE fall staple. Of course, with so many heights, colors, and heels to choose from, it's hard not to buy ten pairs! If you're looking to cultivate a wardrobe with only the staples, here are four types of boots you've got to have to take you from fall into winter.

Heeled Ankle Booties
When you want to play dress-up, a pair of heeled booties that come only up to the ankle are the perfect fall or winter shoe. Flats and pumps often show too much skin – not to mention, their soles don't have much traction for wet weather. Go for whatever type of heel makes you feel comfortable, whether it's a low stacked heel, a covert wedge, or a full-on spike. Wear them to the office, during the day, or to the club – they go great with slacks and skirts as well as dresses and jeans.

Combat Boots
Every girl needs a pair of calf-height combat boots for those comfy-casual days. Their shape and lace-up style give any outfit a little bit of an edge without compromising femininity. They're the perfect way to polish a simple look of skinny jeans, a t-shirt, a zip-up hoodie, and a scarf. Get some wool socks to peek out the top and then layer them over tights with a skirt for a look that screams cozy-chic fall. Or, just pair them with your favorite dress to make it look more casual and effortless but still stylish.

Rain Boots or Wellies
If fall and winter are cold and snowy where you live, rain boots are an investment you can't pass up. If you get a pair that isn't too thickly lined, they'll take you right into springtime puddle jumping, so you can be sure to get your money's worth. When it snows, you can wear them with a few pairs of socks to make sure that your feet stay warm and dry. The trick is to buy them in a neutral color, like black or dark green, so that you can wear them with dresses, leggings, or jeans. That way, you can still look put-together, even if it's pouring rain outside.

                                                          Riding Boots
Riding boots are simply essential. These knee-high, leather or faux-leather boots create a sleek line from the waist down to the foot, making your legs look miles long. In the spring, you can wear them with dresses, leaving a bit of skin showing around your knees, but in the winter, they add that extra layer you need to keep you warm while still remaining polished. We recommend getting riding boots with no heels so that they can be your everyday shoe, but tall leather boots with heels look great for going out if that's more practical for you.

Sweater Weather | Tag

Hello Lovelies!
So I saw this tag on Lauren's blog, I just had to do it! I have to say, Autumn is probably my favorite season. I love the fashion style & the colours, the layering up in hats and gloves etc, the candle smells. So when I saw this tag on Lauren's blog, I just had to do it!

1. Favorite candle scent?
I have so many scents that I just adore. I think my favorite candles are from Yankee Candles, they're all delicious smells! I think for Autumn/Winter, the best scent would be the 'Fireside Treats' candle, smells like roasted marshmallows. Amazing for the Winter.

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
I must admit, I am not a fan of coffee, hardly ever drink it unless it's iced coffee. On the other hand, tea and hot chocolate are to die for, specially in the Winter. I really can't choice one, but I think both are essential for Winter.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
I think that would be the days I spent with my childhood friend, the best memory was probably when we took a trip to the woods and collected leaves etc, and made a autumn collage.

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?
Winged eyeliner. Although I'm not good at getting the wings perfect, in fact i'm almost useless. If I ever get one perfect, I can never do the other one even similar, but I'd still love to wear it.

6. Favorite Christmas food?
This is hard, sometimes my family have sausages rapped in bacon, so I think I'll have to say them.

7. Hats or Scarves?
I have to say hats, as I love the cute bobble hats that has a little bobble at the top of it. For me, a hat completes a outfit. Although I'd suggest wearing both for Winter, it can get very chilly.

8. Most worn jumper?
I have several frequently worn jumpers at the moment, I think my most warn one would be my baby blue wool jumper from Topshop. I absolutely love it, it keeps me very toasty and warm. I also like to wear a peter pan collar on underneath the jumper, revealing the collar.

9. Favorite fall nail polish?
I think for Winter time, my favorite would be a nice pastel blue. Although that colour was very popular during the summer, I love to wear it in the winter.

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
When I'm walking somewhere with friends, I think the temptation of running through the leaves gets the better off me, 'm a kid at heart really. So yes, jumping in leaves would be the best.

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Skinny jeans. Personally, I proffer to wear jeans out and wear leggings for more of lounging around at home.

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
I think uggs are amazing for the winter, keep your feet nice and cosy. However, I have to say Combat boots would steal me, I just love the style of them.

13. What's your #1 favorite thing about fall?
Oh, this is way to hard to choice. I think what I look forward to the most would be the layering up in fluffy, warm jumpers and hats and scarfs.

Stocking Stuffers For Her | Christmas

Watch -  Next
Perfume -  Superdrug
Heart Necklace - John Lewis
Bubble Bars - Lush
Body Butter - Soap & Glory

Hi Lovelies! Am I too early to be writing a Christmas post? I figured it was socially acceptable as it is November now, and I've seen Christmas decorations up already!
So, Today's post is one of many Christmas themed posts that I will be doing, this post is going to be 'Stocking Stuffers for Her', so if you've ran out of idea for your Mrs's or sisters, Aunts or any Female relatives then I hope this post gives you some ideas and inspirations.

So, even now at this age Me and my Mum make stockings for each other, I think stockings are fab for all ages and are alot of fun to open! I think stockings are much better than one big present, for me I proffer it because I like the novelty items and bits and bobs you get in them, of course for different ages/genders you'd include different presents, but I think they're alot of fun to be together anyhow.

I think things like bath bombs and body creams are perfect for the ladies as we're always in need of new ones and specially the bath bombs and bars its a excuse to have some alone time and relax, and they're at a cute size to have in a stocking. The little bunny watch I think is just adorable, cute novelty items like that would go perfectly for a Christmas stocking to brighten up their Christmas morning. I think some nice smellys like perfumes would be fab for a stocking, though I wouldn't go too expensive as that's more of a main present material but some nice decent ones would go perfectly.
This is more of the romance side, but getting her a cute, maybe even personalized to make it more romantic, heart necklace would be ideal for a stocking, it's small and cute.

They're just a few ideas of what you can get and I hope any one in need of inspiration has been inspired. Let me know if you'd like more Christmas themed posts, and leave a comment if you have any ideas of one. I will be doing more posts like these in the near future, so make sure you keep checking back if you enjoyed it.

Do you do stockings for anyone? What things do you normally include in yours?

Shopping Haul | Plymouth

Hello Lovelies!
So lately I've been really busy with various things but I still managed some how, to fit in a shopping trip this week. I went to Plymouth as it has one of my favorite shops, Primark! I bought a fair amount in Plymouth and seeming as Christmas is coming up very quickly, I took this as a chance to get a few pressies for people as well as shopping for my goods. I thought I would share with you all what I scoped up whilst shopping.
*I do apologize for poor images, they were taken on my phone.*

First of all I went into the big shopping center called 'Drake Circus', which has shops like Primark, Lush, Top shop etc. I first off all we went into Primark, which actually didn't have as much stuff I like as it used to, however I still managed to pick up a few bargains.

I bought this for £3.99, bargain! I really like this top as the top of the sleeves has this really nice see lacy through pattern. I am a bit dubious of Primark clothing as some of it can be cheap and easily damaged, but this top seems good and strong and for the price I just couldn't leave it on the shelf.

Also whilst shopping in Primark, I came across this top. I feel in love with it straight away, knew I had to have it. I believe it was £5.00, it's just so adorable I had to have it.

I was in need of a new purse, but I came across this and I loved the cute bow so much.
I bought this for £4.00, bargain!

My makeup bag was getting a bit of wear and tear on it and the colouring was very dull, so I thought I would pick up a new makeup bag, I got this one for £3.00, again I really liked the cute bow on it.

As winter has approached the weather gets very cold, as we obviously know. I thought I'd use that as a good excuse to get a pair of some fluffy & warm socks. I got a pack of two, for £2.00, bargain or what!

I also came across this hair clip, which was £1.50. I really liked this clip with the cute polka dots, and it's got good grips on it, it sort of 'slipped' into my basket.

Next I went to the amazing Lush, I think I spent up to a hour in here. I adore Lush and their products! At Christmas time they sell a shower gel called 'Snow Fairy', which is to die for! I can't possibly describe the smell of it to you, so I'd suggest going down and getting yourself one. The sad thing is, they only sell it near Christmas time so I think it's time to stash up them up. I also bought a few other products whilst in there.

I bought a small pot of Snow Fairy for around £3.00, A pot of Bubble Gum Lip scrub for £5.50 and I also bought a Bubble Bar Magic Wand as it's called, which is exscatly the same smell as the Snow Fairy gel which was around £5.00 I believe. I definitely recommend going down to your nearest Lush to try these things out, they are really fantastic.
I came across these in Poundland and as Christmas is coming up, I thought they were to cute to leave there, had to get them.
Whilst shopping in Superdrug I found this hair conditioner which smells gorgeous! It's all natural ingredients and the smell is very sweet and fruity, I got this for £1.50.

I have to say, Plymouth is one of my top favorite places to shop as it has brilliant shops and shops that I don't have in Cornwall. Over all, it was a brilliant trip and I got lots of goodies and presents. Was a good day out.

Where's your favorite place to shop?

St Ives Apricot Scrub | Naturally Clear

Hi Lovelies!
I was looking around Superdrug the other week and I came across this scrub, and after hearing alot about this scrub I never actually tried it, then the next thing I know it's coming home with me in my bag. I don't like harsh scrubs as I'm prone to redness, specially with using harsh scrubs so I'm definitely in need of a good scrub. When I heard about how good this scrub is and how kind it is to your skin, I just had to get it to try it out. So I've been using this scrub about three to four times a week, so far I've really enjoyed using it and you can see the results within a few weeks, whether it's dying down your blemishes or just making your skin that little bit softer.

What I really like about this scrub is the smell, it's a really subtle sweet and fruity smell which I really like as I don't really liking wearing strongly scented face products. With previous scrubs I've noticed that they're pretty gritty which doesn't feel all that great, however with this scrub it's got a really nice creamy texture as well as it being gritty.
You can tell the scrub really gets into your pores and clears them out, I normally use this scrub in the shower as the hot steam opens your pores and the scrub will be even more effective.

Over all, I think this scrub is brilliant and I'd highly recommend it to anyone suffering from blemishes, oily skin or spot problems as it really does help to keep them all down.
They also do St Ives scrub for dry skin, so this may suit you better if you have dry skin, although the apricot scrub isn't drying at all. So if you suffer from pores and blemishes, I'd definitely look into getting some of the scrub.

Have you tried it? What do you think? Let me know your opinions!

Week In Photos #2

Ice Cream / Halloween / My Dog / Spooky Cauldron / Shopping Trip to Plymouth / Surprise Fireworks / Visited my favorite shop, Lush / Photo shoot / midnight travels.

Hello Lovelies! So this week has been really busy for me, not only have I had to revise for up coming tests but I had to do a photo shoot for my photography course. I don't know how, but I've managed to spare some time to do my blogging.

Obviously with Halloween being this week I was busy making decorations so I thought I'd show you a few of the decorations I already had like the Pumpkin Lights & the smoking cauldron, they're fab. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to make my dog a hot dog costume so that was a bummer however, I have got her a Santa costume for Christmas so lets hope she likes wearing it. I took time out of my busy schedule to have a shopping trip to a very large town called Plymouth. I got lots of purchases, of which I'm going to be posting about soon so keep checking back for that post. On Friday night I had my  neighbors set off fireworks right outside my window, which isn't very good or advised  but I still had a free display, which was cool. On Saturday, I took the chance as the weather was looking good to go on a walk and take photos for my photography course, I got some brilliant photos of mines with what looks like snow, but is rain around it.

Over all, this week has been a bit stressful but also a lot of fun. I really do apologize for the lack of posts, I do try my best to write up as many as I can, however with all exams coming up revising is my main priority, but I will try to post more often.

What have you been up to this week?
