Blogmas Day 18 | Christmas Gift Idea's for Dogs

Hello Lovelies! So after getting some requests to do Christmas gift ideas for other pets, I decided to do Dogs today. I have 2 Dachshunds Lucy (left) and Penny (right) and they absolutely love Christmas time, getting all that attention when Family come down, what can be better? Again, I've stuck to Pet's at home gift ideas because it can be more accessible for people. Anyway, I normally get my girls some treats and some teddys, however after finding these things I might be tempted to get a little something different, so these are what I've found and come up with.

So firstly, if you get your dog a stocking than they have pre made ones already which are good, full of treats and toys. However, if you'd like to make your own specifically for your dogs taste than I've found a few things like the dog candy canes and the Christmas puddings, I think they're absolutely adorable and perfect sizes for little dogs and bigger ones too. I also think the pack of 2 ball-balls are cute aswell, perfect size for a stocking and good for all sized dogs too. I think my favorite is the dog cracker, what's better than having your furry family members joining you on the crackers? It's got nice sized treats too, for all sized dogs. 

If your not much of a stocking person then there is a Gingerbread Man hamper  which I think is fantastic, what dog doesn't want toys and treats? I think most dogs will enjoy it and there not too big so should be okay for all sized dogs, I know my girls will enjoy it. It's also got a soft toy which is good for older dogs that have delicate mouths or poorly dogs like my Penny.

If you really want to treat your dog than always getting a soft bed is a good idea, depending on what gender, age and size there are lots of different beds, I really like the soft, cushiony ones mine currently have a hard bed with lots of blankets, if so maybe you could get a few extra soft blankets as an idea.

Blogmas Day 16 | Winter Comforts Tag

1. Do you change your makeup routine for the winter? Um, in a way yes. I use alot more moisturizers to keep my skin hydrated so I'll have to add to my routine but not dramatically.
2. Uggs: In or Out? Out, I don't really wear Uggs that often but if I do then definitely out. 
3. Favorite winter cheek, lip and eye product? I don't really have a favorite cheek product, any darker shades of red. I really like the Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Red Sunrise, and my favorite eye product would be the NAKED pallet, the darker shades.
4. Starbucks fall or winter drinks? Winter drinks definitely, they're so delicious!
5. Favorite winter scented candle? Probably Fireside treats or the Snowflake Cookie by Yankee Candles.   I tag anyone and everyone! Leave the URL in a comment, I'd love to read it.

So I thought it was a good idea after mentioning Popcakes in yesterdays post to dedicate today's post to Popcakes because I just love them so much. They're so much fun to make them and they have some amazing designs. Although I'm not fantastic at it nor adding the details, but they're still brilliant fun to make. I think the Snow Men is such a cute idea and also the Christmas puddings. I love getting creative and there are some fantastic designs.

Hello Lovelies! One of my favorite things to do around Christmas time is to do some Christmas baking. I also do Christmas baking as presents for family in a hamper, which is a good idea for someone that you don't see so often. I found these images on pinterest.com, I think they're all brilliant ideas and they're really fun to make. However, if your baking with young children I'd consider ruling out Macaroons and the Popcakes because of how fiddly they are and if you want extra details you'll need a steady hand, but still great fun to make. I think my favorite thing to make would be Popcakes because they're just so much fun to decorate with all different Christmasy designs, love them. What's your favorite Christmas baking food? 

 

Blogmas Day 13 | Christmas Nail Ideas

Hello Lovelies! 

So one thing I really like about Christmas time is the nail designs, although I wish I could be better at nail polishing I really enjoy wearing a creative winter nail. I found these images from Pinterest.com and I think they're all brilliant and very creative. I think the snow flakes are really cute designs aswell as the Reindeer ones. I'm definitely going to try attempt these because I think they're all gorgeous and very creative.

Blogmas Day 12 | Stocking Stuffers For Guineapigs

Hello Lovelies! 

I thought I'd do something a little different today, rather than gift ideas for people, it's for Guinea pigs! So, despite living with over 20 guinea pigs, only 2 of them are actually my own, Biscuit (left) & Oscar (right). 

Every year I always get them some Christmas treats and gifts, however this year instead of an advert calender I'm going to get them a bigger stocking for throughout the Christmas week, if you have Guinea pigs or any small pet that you'd like to do this with then I've found some ideas for inspiration of what you could include in the stocking for your little furry friends.

So, I thought I would try to find most things from Pet's At Home as it's quite international so assuming that most people can access it easier rather than little businesses. So, if you really want to treat your Piggy's then the Chocolate and Yogurt drops are really good for their advent calenders and mine definitely enjoy them. Next, I normally buy the large tube quite frequently for my Guinea's throughout the Summer as mine really enjoy playing with it but also it keeps them shaded, however they make brilliant Christmas presents and it's a nice treat for when it's play time, last year I got my boys a tube that was pre covered in hay, they really enjoyed that so that's something to think about. On the subject of hay, my boys absolutely love the stuff, however I find it can get quite boring for them to just give them it so I like to put the hay into the hay ball dispenser, they love using it.
As a treat, I find the Twiggy Treats are a brilliant present as it not only keeps them busy but it helps keep their teeth healthy and down to a comfortable level for them. The edible hut also is a fantastic present for keeping their teeth cut down, my boys absolutely love it. I buy it for them every summer and by day 2 the roof has been eaten away, it normally lasts them about a month or longer to eat but mine absolutely love it. The Teach N Treat is such a good present for all small pets, it keeps them busy and it gets them to use their natural instincts like they would in the wild. You put little treats in the holes and cover them over with the caps and the pet has to sniff it out and lift the cap off, it's a fantastic way to keep boredom of their door step and also good to use their natural instincts and it gets your Guinea to really interact. Blogmas Day 11 | Christmas Tag

Hello Lovelies! So I wanted to get in the Christmas spirit even more, whats a better way of doing that then doing a Christmas Tag? I found this a really nice tag and very exciting to answer, I'm starting to feel very festive now.
1. Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic? I really like the real ones, but I have to say synthetic just because it costs alot less. Also it takes years for the real trees to grow to just die within a few weeks, they also shred like no tomorrow but I do love the look and smell of them, just not for me personally.
2. You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick? Oh, that's cruel. I love a hot chocolate in December time, so depending if I'm in Starbucks I'd go for the Peppermint Hot Chocolate, mmm!
3. What's your favorite colour scheme for decorating the tree? See, I don't limit myself to just one Christmas tree, I have several in the bedrooms etc, but my main tree I like to use all the Christmas colours like Gold, Green and Red. 
4. Giving or receiving? It's so predictable to say this, but I generally love giving because I love to see people opening the presents, I've put alot of effort into getting the perfect presents I want to see them enjoy it. Although receiving is just as exciting, giving is the main thing about Christmas and seeing people happy.
5. To mince pie or not to? To, I like mince pies much more than Christmas pudding. Actually I do really hate Christmas pudding, uggh. But a mince pie with some clotted cream, yum.
6. What's your traditional Christmas lunch? I think Christmas dinner is what Christmas is all about, sitting with your family and loved ones and of course, the food. I normally have pork rather than turkey because we're more of a pork kind of people, pigs in blankets, crackling, lots of veg, Yorkshire puddings and potatoes. And of course, crackers and jokes to enjoy whilst we tuck into the feast.
7. Christmas day fashion I like to dress up for Christmas, normally a nice flowly skirt and a pretty top. Nothing too glam but nice and posh enough for Christmas but of course, still keeping the festive look on. 
8. What's your favorite Christmas song? I don't think I have one specific, I enjoy lots. I particularly enjoy Winter Wonderland more this year, whether that's because I bought a toy dog that sings it the other day but I do enjoy that one.
9. What's your favorite Christmas film? Oh, that's a hard one. There's so many, I adore the film Elf. It's just halarious and gets you into the Christmas spirit right away, but I also like this other film that I watched the other day called 'It's Christmas, Carol!' which is a beautiful film with a beautiful message and very romantic, brilliant film.
10. Open presents before or after lunch? When I wake up I usually go downstairs with the family and open our stockings and we normally travel to my Nan's house where we have over more close family members and open our main presents after Lunch.

Blogmas Day 10 | Christmas Present DIY

Hello Lovelies!

So seeming as I did Christmas Decorations DIY post yesterday, I thought I would do a Christmas Present DIY post today. First of all, I think making your own presents for family and friends are the best present you could give, it's more sentimental and meaningful, specially to Women. I never want to make the same present twice so I'm always finding new ideas to come up with, I found these images all from Pinterest.com, I think they're all brilliant ideas. 

Maybe for the elderly or even a garden orientated Mum, I think the flower pots are a brilliant idea, you can custom make them to whoever the gift it for. 

I also really like the idea of the page holders, I think they're fantastic for all ages. I think the Glitter Candles are also a fantastic idea for all ages, perfect for any Female family member, whether they use it or no but it's definitely a good home decorative. 

I usually bake cookies, buns and biscuits to collect together in a Christmas hamper for some of my family members, that's always a really nice idea specially for family members that maybe live far away, you can add a touch of your home town to it to make it more sentimental and special. The most fiddliest would probably be the felt Christmas tree's, you could make almost anything Christmas themed out of felt which is a nice gift it would also make a good stocking filler too, they can be really fun to make.
