The Liebster Award!

Hello Everyone! Today I have some really exciting news, for me anyway. I've been nominated for the Liebster Award and if your not known to this its basically a chance for people to discover new blogs and people and promote bloggers who have less than 200 followers, which is so lovely and so thoughtful. I was nominated by the beautiful Frances and what you have to do is this:
1. Mention the person who nominated you and leave a link to their blog 2. Answer all the questions you were given by the person that nominated you 3. Create some questions of your own for your nominees  4. Nominate people you think are worthy of the award and the chain continues So with that, lets begin!
Question 1- Do you remember your first blog post? What was it about? I believe my very first ever post was just me talking about my makeup routine and products I was using at that time, however when I first started I had no idea how to run blogger and my editing skills and layouts were appalling so I think I've taken that one down because I couldn't bare the embarrassment. 
Question 2- What is your star sign? I am an Aries & proud!
Question 3- What is your favorite season? I adore spring time just because its so beautiful, the flowers blossom and come up after the dark and gloomy December months, I think its beautiful.
Question 4- What is your favorite TV show?  This is a really hard one because at the moment I'm really enjoying lots of programs, I really like fantasy types like Once Upon A Time or Sleepy Hollow and even The Walking Dead, however I'm going to have to say The Big Bang Theory because their just so fantastic, it never gets old!
Question 5- If you could be any Disney character, who would you be? I'd probably be Cruella Deville from 101 Dalmatians so I can have all those adorable Dalmatians, but I wouldn't make them into coats, they're too cute!
Question 6- What item couldn't you live without? There's lots but one in particular, I'd say my laptop because I just live on it.
Question 7- What would you tell your thirteen year old self? To ignore negative things and comments and do what you want to do and be happy. I had lots of opportunities come my way when I was that age and I regret not taking them so much now, I wanted to do and accomplish so many things but I always lived in fear of what others thought and that kept me back from doing alot of things I wanted to do which it shouldn't of.
Question 8- If you could meet anyone in the world  (living or who has passed on), who would that person be? Oh easy, Demi Lovato. She's my idol, inspiration and just all round a perfect human being to me. We're best friends, she just doesn't know it yet. 
Question 9- Besides blogging, what is your favorite thing to do? That's really hard because I enjoy lots of other things, I mainly love interacting with all my followers & fans on instragram and twitter etc, your support and loyalty just means the world to me, thank you!
Question 10- Why did you start blogging? At the time I started my blog I felt quite isolated from my friends and the world because I was always feeling down and my anxiety was a big problem too however with your lovely comments and messages I really have been able to achieve many a things I thought I'd never do. Anywho, I decided I wanted to distract myself from the negative things and really, I just wanted a place were I can share my thoughts and opinions and sort of distract myself away from the real word for a while. I never really expected anyone to visit my blog let alone read it but yet here I am with over 2,000 views and I'd just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that's supported me even if you've only just joined or you've been here since I began, it honestly means more than the world to me.

Staying Strong 365 Days A Year | Demi Lovato

Hello Lovelies!  So today I've got something really different, and surprisingly this will be my first book review on my blog. Now I have to confess, I'm not much of a book worm, I love to read books I just find it difficult to sit down quietly and to just read, something you'll rarely find me doing. However if the story is gripping enough to get me to read it, I will more than likely read it all in one until I finish it, no food or drink breaks until I've read it all because I will get so gripped that I cant wait another day or hour to know the ending, which is probably not very healthy or advised to do.
I'd just like to take a moment to talk to you about Demi Lovato and how much I adore her. If you've never heard or don't know much about Demi, please look her up because she is a very inspiring and beautiful Woman. She's mine and many others idol because she's been through so much and yet she's still so strong. She currently runs a rehab center where she works 1 to 1 with people suffering from all sorts of mental illnesses like eating disorders, depression etc. She's also, to help her fans further, released a book of advice and tips. Each day this book has daily entries which you read and get inspired from. She includes a inspiring quote and a few sentences of her own  experiences where she's needed this advice and at the bottom included a goal of the day. If you're finding life hard or your on top of the world this book is just something everyone should have in my opinion, it gives you hope and encouragement to accomplish everything and to just become a much happier person in general. I adore this book and Demi so much and it's already helped me get over some barriers I thought I'd never be able to do and it's not even a month of reading it yet. I think its something everyone should read even if your not a fan of Demi, it will encourage you to peruse things in life that your either too scared or not confident enough to do and just makes me feel much more confident to start the day.

Eyes Box | Soap & Glory

Hello Everyone!

I'd just like to take a moment to rave about this product, because it's seriously some good stuff. I was given it as a present for Christmas and ever since I've not used any other palettes, it's that good. As a big fan of Soap & Glory and their creams, I'm ashamed to say I never tried any of their makeup products. But since trying this, it definitely wins over any of my palettes currently. So it comes with a 6 colour palette in the middle including a eye shadow brush too. Personally I think the colours are beautiful, I'm not so daring to go for bright shades so I like to stick to my darker colored palettes and this is definitely something I'd go for. For every day wear I usually wear the light pink shade called Minky, and slowly blend in the darker purple shade called Dandy Plum into the outer corners and the crease of my eye, I also sometimes add the Black Gold (not glittery) into the very outer corners of my eye to create a almost smokey eye effect.

As well as the 6 colour palette it also includes a Superblack Waterproof Eye Liner and Think & Fast Super Volume Mascara. I really really like the eyeliner, it's so easy to apply and it lasts for quite along time too, and its water proof? I must say, I'm not a fan of plastic applicators for mascaras but this is a really good applicator, the mascara gives big volume to the lashes however, I currently use Big Fake Ultimate Lash Effect Mascara by Collection and so far nothing gives volume to my lashes as much as that, so for my own use I don't usually use that mascara however it is still a fantastic and good quality mascara. I think this is the perfect set for if your going on a short or weekend holiday as it has everything you need for basic makeup and its also got some glittery shades for the nights out too. It's small and I think it's loads better than carrying half your makeup collection with you.

Blush By 3 Palette | Sleek

Hello Everyone! 

I hope everyone has had a fantastic start to 2014 and is ready for more exciting reads on my blog as I've got alot in store for it. So lately I realized my blusher was a little dull, who wants a dull blusher? So I decided with some of my Christmas money to go out and treat myself to a nice new blusher. I hadn't had my mind on a specific blusher so I sort of just looked around for whatever shades were my type. I then came across the Sleek Blush By 3 Blush Palette and if you're like me and like to read alot of other blogs, you'd of realized the big craze for Sleek Blushers at the moment. I really liked the shades, I think they're really beautiful shades specially the peachy one for the summer. I believe it was £9.99, which I think is really good. 

It has shade Crochet on the left which is a really bright almost peachy colour, I think this is a beautiful shade, for my personal use I think it would look really nice in the Spring/Summer time when things brighten up abit. In the middle is shade Guipure, which is a really nice glittery pink shade that I think would look nice on a night out or somewhere where your a little dolled up. On the right is shade Chantilly which is a really nice dark peach colour, I really like this shade as I think it would look good almost all year round. It's a summery colour but still a dark shade to add colour for the winter times. I really like this palette because the colours are just gorgeous. The blushers are really nice and pigmented too, which is a big yes for me for any blushers.

New Years Day | Resolutions

Hello Lovelies! 

So as it's New Year's Day I thought it would be a good idea to share with you some of my New Years resolutions. I always have some sort of resolutions but I never really stick to many of them, so maybe one of them should be to stick to them, perhaps. I think they're a fantastic way of remembering errors of the previous year and wanting to make those mistakes better this year. I don't like to have big resolutions as I find I don't stick to them for long or even at all, so here are a few I've come up with that I feel I can achieve and stick to.

In 2014 I want to: 

Take better Skin care:

In the past I've been really slack with my skin. I tend to have really dry and flaky skin and also the dreaded pores. I feel it would be good investment to get some really good quality creams and oils to help my skin and also get into a daily routine for applying it so I don't forget to and there's no excuses.

 

Different Styles:

Personally, I find wearing bold and bright lipsticks really dawning and uncomfortable. That's something I'd really like to change and have more confidence in wearing brighter makeup/nails. I'd also like to change my fashion up a bit, wear clothes I don't usually wear.

Start a YouTube channel:

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but this is something I'd really like to do, however I'm not so confident and sort of afraid no one will enjoy watching me. I've always watched people's channels, specially those who've asked me to and I've never really thought in the past 'I want to do that' because truthfully, I never thought I'd have the courage or confidence too. However, lately I've really been into editing videos and just playing around with software and techy things and its something I've really opened my eyes up to. Please let me know if that would be something you'd all like to watch if I was to do anything like that. I'd really appreciate if you was to let me know in the comments below what you feel on this, whether you'd enjoy it or no. 

  Save my money up:

If I'm honest, I'm not too bad at saving but I'd like to have more control over what I buy and how much I need to actually spend to whether its something I need or want. If I feel really serious about starting a YouTube channel and I'm made aware that people would enjoy to watch it, I might consider in time to buy a good quality camera and editing software's.

I think one of my main resolutions is to be more confident in myself and be able to do more of what makes me happy whether it makes me look like a fool or not.
